About the Role
As a General QA Engineer, you’ll ensure the quality and reliability of our fintech products by testing REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs, as well as web and mobile applications. You’ll develop and maintain automated tests, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvements to deliver secure, high-performing solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for complex fintech platforms involving APIs, web, and mobile applications.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs to ensure secure and reliable data handling.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for backend systems to improve release quality and coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth and high-quality delivery within Agile development cycles.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and issues, ensuring fast turnaround and effective communication across teams.
  • Integrate and maintain test execution in CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
  • Participate in test strategy, code reviews, and test design reviews to ensure optimal testability and quality assurance standards.
  • Contribute to QA process improvement, test data management, and quality metrics tracking.
  • Stay current with emerging QA tools, fintech regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and system robustness.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automation testing.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA best practices.
  • Proven experience testing APIs(REST is a must, GraphQL and gRPC nice to have)— ideally in a fintech or data-sensitive environment.
  • Solid automation experience — able to extend and maintain automation frameworks.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (TypeScript preferred; JavaScript, Python, or others acceptable).
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Cucumber, Playwright, Cypress, or Postman.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and focus on data accuracy and system reliability.
  • Fluent in English with excellent documentation and cross-team coordination skills

Bonus Points:

  • Experience testing native mobile apps (Android/iOS).
  • Understanding of fintech products, payment systems, banking APIs, or data security/compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with performance, security, or load testing tools and concepts.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
